Exported the citation templates from w:Category:Citation Style 1 templates, but the import failed due to error on my part (I accidentally imported everything to the Template-namespace, instead of each items default namespace) and probably some missing dependencies. Manually deleted all things imported into the Template-namespace. Installed mw:Extension:Scribunto and mw:Extension:TemplateStyles as advised in #mediawiki @ w:freenode IRC. For the citation templates to work also some Modules need to be imported from Wikipedia, but which and how to get the correct set is a bit unclear atm.

The Ban Covert Modeling! wiki logo v0.1

UPDATE: Fixed by changing the domain name in Google's reCAPTCHA control panel. Enabled the elasticsearch service with sudo systemctl enable elasticsearch.service

Installed 5.X of elasticsearch with these instructions: https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/5.3/deb.html. Elastica is not compatible (as of now) with the 6.X branch

Started installing extensions that cannot be installed with composer using these instructions mw:Download from Git#Using Git to download MediaWiki extensions
Wrote '/w/composer.local.json' to automate installation of extensions certain and their dependencies
Installed zipping and unzipping for PHP to make composer work: 'sudo apt install zip unzip php7.0-zip'
Installed Composer PHP package and dependencies manager with 'sudo apt install composer'
