3 Do not let anyone deceive you in any way. For the Day will not come until the final Rebellion takes place and the Wicked One appears, who is destined for hell. 4 He will oppose every so-called god or object of worship and will put himself above them all. He will even go in and sit down in God's Temple and claim to be God.	3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.	3 Älkää antako kenenkään millään tavoin johtaa itseänne harhaan. Ennen tuota päivää näet tapahtuu uskosta luopuminen ja ilmaantuu itse laittomuus ihmishahmossa, kadotuksen ihminen. 4 Hän, Vastustaja, korottaa itsensä kaiken jumalana pidetyn yläpuolelle, asettuu itse istumaan Jumalan temppeliin ja julistaa olevansa Jumala.	3 Älkää antako kenenkään vietellä itseänne millään tavalla. Revelation 13 - The two beasts

1 Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads; on each of its horns there was a crown, and on each of its heads there was a name that was insulting to God. 2 The beast looked like a leopard, with feet like a bear's feet and a mouth like a lion's mouth. The dragon gave the beast his own power, his throne, and his vast authority. 3 One of the heads of the beast seemed to have been fatally wounded, but the wound had healed. The whole earth was amazed and followed the beast. 4 Everyone worshipped the dragon because he had given his authority to the beast. They worshipped the beast also, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who can fight against it?” 5 The beast was allowed to make proud claims which were insulting to God, and it was permitted to have authority for 42 months. 6 It began to curse God, his name, the place where he lives, and all those who live in heaven. 7 It was allowed to fight against God's people and to defeat them, and it was given authority over every tribe, nation, language, and race. 8 All people living on earth will worship it, except those whose names were written before the creation of the world in the book of the living which belongs to the Lamb that was killed. 9 “Listen, then, if you have ears! 10 Whoever is meant to be captured will surely be captured; whoever is meant to be killed by the sword will surely be killed by the sword. This calls for endurance and faith on the part of God's people.” 11 Then I saw another beast, which came up out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb's horns, and it spoke like a dragon. 12 It used the vast authority of the first beast in its presence. It forced the earth and all who live on it to worship the first beast, whose wound had healed. 13 This second beast performed great miracles; it made fire come down out of heaven to earth in the sight of everyone. 14 And it deceived all the people living on earth by means of the miracles which it was allowed to perform in the presence of the first beast. The beast told them to build an image in honour of the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 The second beast was allowed to breathe life into the image of the first beast, so that the image could talk and put to death all those who would not worship it. 16 The beast forced all the people, small and great, rich and poor, slave and free, to have a mark placed on their right hands or on their foreheads. 17 No one could buy or sell without having this mark, that is, the beast's name or the number that stands for the name. 18 This calls for wisdom. Whoever is intelligent can work out the meaning of the number of the beast, because the number stands for a human name. Its number is 666.	1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.	1 Minä näin, kuinka merestä nousi peto. Sillä oli kymmenen sarvea ja seitsemän päätä, ja kaikissa kymmenessä sarvessa oli kruunu ja jokaiseen päähän oli kirjoitettu herjaava nimi. 2 Peto, jonka näin, muistutti leopardia, mutta sillä oli jalat kuin karhulla ja sen kita oli kuin leijonan kita. Lohikäärme antoi sille voimansa ja valtaistuimensa ja suuren vallan. 3 Minä näin, että yksi pedon päistä oli saanut surmaniskun mutta haava oli parantunut.     Koko maailma ihmetteli petoa ja lähti seuraamaan sitä, 4 ja kaikki kumarsivat lohikäärmettä, joka oli antanut pedolle sellaisen vallan. He kumarsivat myös petoa ja sanoivat:     – Kuka on pedon vertainen, kuka pystyy taistelemaan sitä vastaan? 5 Pedolle annettiin suu, joka herjaa ja puhuu suuria sanoja, ja se sai tämän vallan neljänkymmenenkahden kuukauden ajaksi. 6 Niin se avasi suunsa ja alkoi herjata Jumalaa. Se herjasi hänen nimeään ja hänen asuinsijaansa ja niitä, jotka asuvat taivaassa. 7 Sille annettiin myös lupa käydä taisteluun pyhiä vastaan ja voittaa heidät, ja niin sen valtaan annettiin kaikki heimot, kansat, kielet ja maat. 8 Kaikki maan asukkaat kumartavat sitä – kaikki ne, joiden nimi ei maailman luomisesta alkaen ole ollut kirjoitettuna teurastetun Karitsan elämänkirjaan. 9 Jolla on korvat, se kuulkoon: 10 – Kenen osana on vankeus, se joutuu vankeuteen, kenen osana on kaatua miekkaan, se kaatuu miekkaan. Nyt kysytään pyhiltä kestävyyttä ja uskoa. 11 Sitten näin, kuinka toinen peto nousi maan uumenista. Sillä oli kaksi sarvea, kuin karitsan sarvet, mutta se puhui kuin lohikäärme. 12 Se käyttää ensimmäisen pedon puolesta tämän koko valtaa ja panee maan ja sen asukkaat kumartamaan ensimmäistä petoa, sitä, jonka kuolinhaava oli parantunut. 13 Se tekee suuria tunnustekoja ja saa tulen lyömään taivaasta maahan ihmisten nähden. 14 Niillä tunnusteoilla, joita sillä on valta tehdä ensimmäisen pedon nimissä, se johtaa harhaan kaikki maan asukkaat, niin että saa heidät tekemään patsaan sen pedon kunniaksi, jota on isketty miekalla mutta joka on vironnut henkiin. 15 Se on saanut vallan antaa pedon kuvalle hengen, niin että kuva jopa kykenee puhumaan, ja se on myös saanut vallan tappaa kaikki, jotka eivät kumarra pedon kuvaa. 16 Se pakottaa kaikki, pienet ja suuret, rikkaat ja köyhät, vapaat ja orjat, ottamaan oikeaan käteensä tai otsaansa merkin. 17 Kenenkään ei ole lupa ostaa eikä myydä mitään, ellei hänellä ole tätä merkkiä, joka on pedon nimi tai sen nimen luku. 18 Tässä vaaditaan viisautta. Se, jolla on ymmärrystä, laskekoon pedon nimen lukuarvon: se on erään ihmisen luku, ja se luku on kuusisataakuusikymmentäkuusi.	1 Ja minä näin pedon nousevan merestä; sillä oli kymmenen sarvea ja seitsemän päätä, ja sarvissansa kymmenen kruunua, ja sen päihin oli kirjoitettu pilkkaavia nimiä. 2 Ja peto, jonka minä näin, oli leopardin näköinen, ja sen jalat ikäänkuin karhun, ja sen kita niinkuin leijonan kita. Ja lohikäärme antoi sille voimansa ja valtaistuimensa ja suuren vallan. 3 Ja minä näin yhden sen päistä olevan ikäänkuin kuoliaaksi haavoitetun, mutta sen kuolinhaava parantui.     Ja koko maa seurasi ihmetellen petoa. 4 Ja he kumarsivat lohikäärmettä, koska se oli antanut sellaisen vallan pedolle, ja kumarsivat petoa sanoen:     "Kuka on pedon vertainen, ja kuka voi sotia sitä vastaan?" 5 Ja sille annettiin suu puhua suuria sanoja ja pilkkapuheita, ja sille annettiin valta tehdä sitä neljäkymmentä kaksi kuukautta. 6 Ja se avasi suunsa Jumalaa pilkkaamaan, pilkatakseen hänen nimeänsä ja hänen majaansa, niitä, jotka taivaassa asuvat. 7 Ja sille annettiin valta käydä sotaa pyhiä vastaan ja voittaa heidät, ja sen valtaan annettiin kaikki sukukunnat ja kansat ja kielet ja kansanheimot. 8 Ja kaikki maan päällä asuvaiset kumartavat sitä, jokainen, jonka nimi ei ole kirjoitettu teurastetun Karitsan elämänkirjaan, hamasta maailman perustamisesta. 9     Jos kenellä on korva, hän kuulkoon. 10     Jos kuka vankeuteen vie, niin hän itse vankeuteen joutuu; jos kuka miekalla tappaa, hänet pitää miekalla tapettaman. Tässä on pyhien kärsivällisyys ja usko. 11 Ja minä näin toisen pedon nousevan maasta, ja sillä oli kaksi sarvea niinkuin karitsan sarvet, ja se puhui niinkuin lohikäärme. 12 Ja se käyttää kaikkea ensimmäisen pedon valtaa sen nähden ja saattaa maan ja siinä asuvaiset kumartamaan ensimmäistä petoa, sitä, jonka kuolinhaava parani. 13 Ja se tekee suuria ihmeitä, niin että saa tulenkin taivaasta lankeamaan maahan ihmisten nähden. 14 Ja se villitsee maan päällä asuvaiset niillä ihmeillä, joita sen sallittiin tehdä pedon nähden; se yllyttää maan päällä asuvaiset tekemään sen pedon kuvan, jossa oli miekanhaava ja joka virkosi. 15 Ja sille annettiin valta antaa pedon kuvalle henki, että pedon kuva puhuisikin ja saisi aikaan, että ketkä vain eivät kumartaneet pedon kuvaa, ne tapettaisiin. 16 Ja se saa kaikki, pienet ja suuret, sekä rikkaat että köyhät, sekä vapaat että orjat, panemaan merkin oikeaan käteensä tai otsaansa, 17 ettei kukaan muu voisi ostaa eikä myydä kuin se, jossa on merkki: pedon nimi tai sen nimen luku. 18     Tässä on viisaus. Jolla ymmärrys on, se laskekoon pedon luvun; sillä se on ihmisen luku. Ja sen luku on kuusisataa kuusikymmentä kuusi.
